The Woman's Association of the Community Church will hold a missionary meeting Friday March 17 at 3 o clock in the church parlors. Miss Madeleine Milner will review a missionary study book We Were Are America. It promises an enjoyable and instructive program.
A church social on the sixteenth at eight o clock honors supply pastor and wife Dr and Mrs Otis W Foye and other winter visitors who lent a helping hand during the season also the former pastor and wife Capt and Mrs Floyd Montgomery All visitors and members are invited to attend and enjoy the evening.
The Monday Social Club held its card party in the Community rooms. Mrs. J. R. Tobin won the bridge prize and Mrs. Alice Keenan captured the five hundred prize. Shonenberger was named president and appointed a nominating committee including Mrs. C. C. Gravlee Sr., Mrs. Waite, and Mrs. Belle Rogers. Nominations will be discussed at the first April meeting. Hostesses for next week include Mrs. Matthias Caley for contract and Mrs. Barnhart for five hundred.
The Wo man's Association social committee hosted a well attended Friday event at the Community Church parlors on March 10. Dr Richards and Mrs Richards were assisted by Mr and Mrs Bridgman in greeting guests. Mrs Land sang two song groups with Mrs H S Bradley, entertaining graciously. Refreshments followed.
Mrs Florence G Hanscom entertained Saturday afternoon at her Grandview Street home with pianist Donald Scott Morrison as guest artist. He performed works by Scarlatti Bach Debussy Liszt Chopin and presented a refined program. Tea refreshments were served by Mrs James A Wilson with assistants Mrs E E Truskett and Mrs R N White Sr.
The ladies of Kill-Kare Lodge hosted a March 9 social evening in the parlors with Mrs. Leslie Moore introducing speaker Mr. Alexander Kerr. Kerr spoke on travel and prejudice, took guests on an Egypt journey, discussed archaeology and Mohammedan customs, and contrasted non-machine and modern times before tea and refreshments ended the event.
Mount Dora Chapter Order of the Eastern Star held its meeting with Mrs. Pearl Camp presiding. Past Adalts were honored with blue violet corsages as they listened to a special program by the Matron Conductress and Star Points. Next gathering March 23 marks Past Matrons Night.
Mrs Rena Bouterse starts a trip today to see her two sons and their families in Miami. Mr Richard M Brown shows improvement after a three week illness and can go out briefly. Edward Pendleton Klatte has begun training at NR O T C and is now at the university.

Heim leaves for Fairfield Beach, Conn., after winter at Villa Dora. F. A. Whiting, injured in a fall, anticipates recovery at home. Mrs. J. G. Ray, Sr. of Atlanta visits Mount Dora. Mrs. A. A. Tanner goes to Miami with family. Bob Willard enters service. branch undisclosed. Harry Bouterse, Jr. visits grandmother and aunt from Cecil Field. Capt. and Mrs. Floyd Montgomery arrive from Greensboro. he is hospital chaplain. Mrs. Violetta Downs visits sisters in Mount Dora. Mrs. Zell improving in Eustis hospital. Mrs. Geo. L. Bidwell and Mrs. Joseph Butler leave for Maryland. Mrs. Elizabeth Powers returns from Tallahassee and stays with Mary Emma Jones. John C.
