The Mount Dora Lions Club presents Funzapoppin on Thursday and Friday the 19th and 20th at the Community Building to raise funds for the charity. Miss Freda Foster directs the show with local cast members and a youth popularity contest for children under eight. Tickets sold at Hotel Mount Dora, Mount Dora Pharmacy, and Lions members. proceeds support eye care and club activities.

Morton Attacked by Two Men Near Highway 441 Cottage
Parker C. Morton reports being assaulted by two men Saturday night near his Cottage off Highway 441 south of the Lake County line. He was struck on head and face after returning from Mount Dora, fought back, and the assailants fled. He was treated for head cuts and bruises at a local physician.

Dr John Kellogg Celebrates 90th Birthday at Battle Creek
Dr. John Harvey Kellogg of Miami Springs Florida celebrated his 90th birthday as honor guest at a luncheon in his honor at the Battle Creek Sanitarium he founded in 1876. Three thousand people met the doctor at the train while 500 friends and colleagues attended the birthday banquet. Kellogg now runs a sanitarium in Miami Springs.
