Miss Norma Pauline Gardner and Attorney Roy Christopher plan to marry at First Methodist Church Tavares on Thursday March 23 at 8 p.m. Gardner is from Lake County's younger set, daughter of Edward and Helen Gardner of Tavares. Christopher, son of E J Christopher, works with the law firm Cooley and Christopher in Mount Dora.
Susan Odom stars as Juliet in There’s Always Juliet at Lake county’s little theatre for a three day run starting Thursday March 16. Dr. William J. Furey Jr and Leslie Hines co star with Adele Justad providing the maid role. Marguerite Miller and William Jay Barker direct a Broadway calibre production with tickets available at the theatre on Charles street or hotels.

The Future Homemakers of America plan a Saturday tour of homes to seek household jobs. They will work as kitchen helpers or other domestic staff at donation wages, presenting themselves as capable housewives.
Mrs. Vernon L. Conner was elected chairman for 1950 51 at the Founders Circle monthly meeting held at the Veterans Memorial Home. Elected with her were Mrs. David S. Simpson first vice president Miss Evelyn Page second vice president Mrs. S. S. Sadler Jr recording secretary Mrs. J. S. Edwards corresponding secretary and Mrs. Harry E. Backus treasurer. Members arranged flowers from their gardens with Mrs. Richard Edgerton as instructor and judge. Plans were finalized for the Lakes and Hills exhibit at the Estes fair with Mount Dora club to host the opening day Monday. The Elephant Mound in Wisconsin is believed to be an effigy of a bear.
