Free Bowling Course At Triangle Lakes Mount Dora
All Kids interested in a free instruction course should meet at Triangle Lakes in Mount Dora at 1 p m on June 27 sponsored by the city recreation department. There will be competitive bowling and a trophy. Women may join a softball team and businesses may sponsor a team contact Sandy Waldron at the Mount Dora TOPIC call 383 4303. With sufficient interest a league may form. The Mount Dora Little League plans a July 4 chicken supper after a double header proceeds go to baseball equipment. Chris Logas coordinates food. A June 29 to July 3 slate lists noon Kiwanis meetings at the Community Building and Lake County Safety Council at Lancer Restaurant in Leesburg. Activities include a dog obedience class graduation at the police firing range and a Lake County Area Voc-Tech graduation at Mount Dora, plus a free boat inspection at Lake Eustis and a Hurricane Hut dance featuring The Tropics.

First Time Jail Case Ends in Unclear Death
Walter Lee Petis Jr. was arrested for public drunkenness in Mount Dora and sentenced to 15 days in jail plus a $25 fine. After his employer paid the fine, he returned to work in Zellwood. A subsequent police incident found him dead. authorities suspect no foul play though an autopsy was pending.
