Hillhouse Bath and Tennis Club Nears July Opening
The Hillhouse Bath and Tennis Club in Mount Dora filed with Syntax Corporation to open in July. A $500,000 two level facility rising beside Hillhouse Apartments on Old 441 will house a squash court and a handball court, air conditioned. steam room, sauna, inhalation room, massage room, and whirlpool bath. an exercise room is planned.

Universal Spartacus gym to debut with pool deck roof
A July opening will feature a $3,000 Universal Spartacus gym machine with 16 work stations allowing 16 users simultaneously. The structure’s roof becomes the pool deck for a 75 ft Olympic-lane pool, surfaced with heat resistant material. A game room will be located in the facility.
Hill House Bath and Tennis Club outlined plans
The Hill House Bath and Tennis Club announces an upper level area called Honor America and an outside facility with two tennis courts. A 17 ft fiberglass sculpture by Doris Leeper will stand at the Old 441 entrance, with a large painting in a 20 ft lobby. Charles Henry is named executive director. The club aims for social focus with dining, events, and international trips, housed in the Castle. Architecture by Schweizer Associates in Winter Park.

IceHouse Theatre in Mount Dora announces a summer schedule led by Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple starring John Heist as Oscar and Tom Stone as Felix. Pigeon Sisters played by Debbie Russell and Cathy Vaughn, with Hank Link, Curt Reis, Neil McKenzie and Del Horton in the rest of the cast. Tickets cost 3.00 general and 3.50 reserved, on sale at Whistling Oyster Gift Shop and Ice House box office 7:30 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. Curtain June 29 and 30 at 8:30 with a July 1 matinee at 2:30.
