Motion Asks Proof In Hunter Case
The motion requests the United States government prove it has a case against Jesse W. Hunter a retired state attorney from the Fifth Judicial district. Hunter is charged with depriving David McKinnick Reese of civil rights by keeping him jailed for a year without charge after a raid on a Negro juke joint. If granted Whittaker may move to dismiss the indictment. The hearing location Ocala seeks to move venue closer to Hunter’s home due to his health.
