Kiwanis Hear Health Officer Report At Local Meeting

The Kiwanis Club heard delegate W. M. Kennedy report on the National Convention with about 9300 members. Burke Chester county health officer outlined duties and limits of the office and discussed food quality and disease prevention. John Ragin, sanitary officer for Eustis Mount Dora and Tavares, thanked the group and pledged cooperation. M B Claflin Dies Sudden in Akron Ohio

M B Claflin of Sylvan Shores died suddenly at his mother's Akron home on Sunday afternoon. He was a World War I veteran and served as Vice Commander of the Coast Guard Flotilla in World War II. Funeral services will be held in Akron at Billows Funeral Home.
