Travelers Insurance experts report that in 1939 the driver caused the majority of fatal and non fatal automobile accidents. They found 93 percent of fatal crashes and 95.5 percent of non fatal crashes involved cars in good mechanical condition, with brakes and lights rarely defective.
Zellwood manager Tommy Smith drives in three runs as the All-Stars rally in the fifth but a controversial interference call on Jesse Pearfy’s throw ends the game. Eustis’ Pete Hooten shines on the bases with two stolen bases and another walk in the third. Murray Thomas yields ten runs before Pete Hooten takes over late in the game.
