Welcome plans for new General Electric plant at Mount Dora
Mount Dora City Council members showed strong interest in welcoming a General Electric plant. Councilman J P Turner questioned the Chamber of Commerce president about welcoming plans while Dr Randall Whitney said the chamber has not yet prepared. Whitney added the news broke after the last meeting and will be discussed at the next gathering. The councilman asked about chamber advertising and merchants' help as ads have tightened due to a smaller opening budget.
