Sumter Electric Holds Annual Meeting and Academy Changes
The Sumter Electric Cooperative holds its 31st annual meeting at Howey Falls. Howey Academy adds Dean of Students Jimmie Alton Ferrell and a new teacher with master's degrees for the fall term starting September 4. Jimmie Ferrell hails from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania and will lead the student services. The Sumter County Farmers Market event on July 11 at 8:00 p.m. includes member registration from 4:30 p.m. An expected turnout of 1000 to 1500 is anticipated, with two free meal tickets for each new member.
