Split Decision Favors Subdivision Street Plan
In a split vote the council approved a new subdivision street dead end on Clayton Street built by George Long and Walter Stubble. Opponents Lou L Heaton and David Bowen argued taxpayer money would fund a city ordinance violation. The plan calls for an 80 foot turn around but critics say it is excessive. The street cost about 7500 with city funding around 2500.
