Florida Telephone Co launches a summer drive July 10 to 25 across Eustis Mount Dora Tavares Umatilla Groveland and Clermont to add subscribers. Last November Mount Dora saw a 35 subscriber gain. The firm reports a 50 percent recovery since 1933 after a 1500 telephone loss across 27 exchanges and credits staff for improving service. Extensions install free for new and existing subscribers during the drive, with bonuses for top sellers and a company picnic at campaign end.
