Christian gentleman Hatfield dies in Mount Dora train tragedy
Abraham Hatfield, 89, an import export broker and generous donor, was struck at a railroad crossing in Mount Dora while returning to the Lakeside Inn. He supported the Allan Platt Legal Fund and the Mount Dora Lawn Bowling Club, leaving a wife Mabel and children Helen, George, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Services were held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Eustis with interment in New Canaan.
