PTA to Aid School X Ray TB Survey at Mount Dora High
The State Board mobile unit will visit Mount Dora High next Tuesday from 1 to 3 pm to X ray students 15 and older as part of a biennial TB survey. Additional surveys for adults are planned January 28 29 and February 4. The PTA sponsors the survey with four clerks aiding the effort: Mrs. R R Eddy Mrs. Glenn Brown Mrs. Robert Caudell and Mrs. R G Sadler.

Dr E E Lewis was guest speaker for the Business and Professional Women's club Tuesday discussing international relations from world tours as an educational representative of the United States. The meeting at Turner's Restaurant included guests Mrs Helen Newman of South Bend Ind and Mrs Emma Von Rhee of Land Island. The Mount Dora BPW club will co host a district luncheon at Umatilla Sunday.

Thief Takes Hose For Bad Purpose At Local Shop
Police link a burglary at Dean's Paint and Body on Highland Street to a later theft of gasoline from several cars at Sylvan Shores hotel. Authorities say the suspect took a hose and $25 in tools then helped siphon fuel from parked vehicles. Chief James Jr notes the line had been siphoned from the cars.
