Councilman J. P. Turner was unanimously chosen as President at a special meeting to install new members. Mrs. John Murray was elected Council President, with unanimous support. Jesse D. Mount Dora schools delay decision on racial balance
Lake County School Board will not decide on Mount Dora racial balance until after a public hearing on Jan 29 at 7 30 p.m. in the Community Building. Dr Clyde Stevens says the hearing informs the public of HEW requirements and possible loss of federal funds, with meetings to follow in other towns.

Charles S. Pettyjohn was installed Monday as Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce president for 1970 at the Yacht Club annual banquet. Dick Edgerton Grant Carter named as vice presidents and five new board members including Jack Morgan Bill Seabrook Cliff Harden and Dr. Bob Wells were sworn in. Tom Wetherington former 1968 president officiated the ceremony. Victor C.
