Visiting Daughters of the American Revolution are invited to attend a forthcoming meeting and program at the local chapter. Members and guests may participate in the scheduled events and activities.
Our teams faced New Smyrna last week and won 3 to 1 as plays were tight on fast rinks. Marsh skip Fleming Chesley and Wilmot beat Whiteside 18 to 15, Seiger grant E Black Bridgman beat Perkins 17 to 13, and Fuller skip Swift Jones Garrison defeated Hosack 23 to 11. Heaton Kellogg Davis Hart lost 16 to 17 with Strock’s rally late. Adams, a club member, also played for New Smyrna. Novice final saw C Davis beat Ruth Bridgman 18 to 6. Bridgman earns praise for progress under coach Frank Bridgman, defending singles title soon. Chamber of Commerce trophy team play began with 12 teams. Nelson making good recovery.
Shuffleboard Saturday drew pairs including E Boggs and G Purdy L Herblin and Mrs Rak J Herblin and C Doust J Bukey and Mr Remely W Gibbs and L Towers W McKemmy and Mr Wood M Clark and F Place. Cronwall Trophy game set for Feb 26. March 1 hosts Sanford club after 17 15 loss. Potluck dinner praised. red white and blue decor noted. The Hibiscus Circle of the Lakes and Hills Garden Club plans a food sale at the Princess Theatre entrance starting at 9 a.m. A variety of baked goods will be offered to raise funds.
