Tourist Dances Move to Community Building
The tourist club dances shift from the yacht club to the social room of the community building. The Mount Dora Tourist Club hosts John B. Stetson University Glee Club directed by Miss Ruth Hibbard in three parts at the Mount Dora auditorium. Selections include Bach, Arkangelsky, Warlock, and Rachmaninoff, with solos by Lucille Caudill and duets by Foard and Sherry. The event, organized with Chamber of Commerce support, drew a large mix of tourists and locals and highlighted plans to attend the State Federation meeting in Orlando.

Lake county dominates the Central Florida Exhibition in Orlando with top prizes across citrus vegetables preserved products and dairy plus multiple blue ribbons for grape fruit. The county also received the silver loving cup for vegetables three years running and earned praise at the South Florida Fair in Tampa totaling $1 360 in cash and 25 ribbons.
