Book Review IT'S OLD STUFF NOW By Stuart Robson
Stuart Robson recounts World War I service from 1917 aboard the Great Northern to Brest Valcourt and the Meuse. The memoir contrasts hardship on the front with brief shore leave, noting gas masks and danger, influenza, and the captain’s praise. The narrative ends with memory of home and a sober view that war lacks glory.
