Mount Dora Welcomes Winter Visitors and Residents
The Florida town of Mount Dora hosts a parade of winter guests and new residents. Mary Burr and her two year old son David Jr. stay with friends as Mr. and Mrs. Finney of Roselle New Jersey plan two months in Florida. Dr Charles Junk and daughter Priscilla arrive at East Crooked Lake Road and plan to winter in Mount Dora. Educators Dr Thomas Holy of Ohio State and his wife visit S E Lewis's home, while Mrs Homer Truesdell greets her brother George King visiting from Youngstown. Other guests include the Rundle family of Cleveland and Mr. and Mrs. C Zanden Bosch from Michigan. A social club reports 54 members at the Community building with card winners named. New residents William Cocklin and family from Pennsylvania purchase land on Highland Street for a house, while more visitors stay at Lake Ola and Lake Ola Terrace designed by Evelyn Page.
