Assistant State Forester O R Douglass reports that under fire control less than three percent of Florida forest acreage burned in the prior year. About 135000 acres of almost five million protected burned, with damage near 190000 dollars. Four thousand seven hundred eighty seven fires were reported, eighty percent due to incendiaries.
