Mount Dora Plans A $1.2 Million Cluster Condo Project
Mount Dora City Council reviewed a 1.25 million condo cluster on S Highland St opposite the golf club. Realtor E Everette Huskey proposed 7 blocks of five two-bedroom homes for adults, with a New England style called Bunker Hill. The project includes 24 percent land use and a 25 foot buffer. Mayor Willmott criticized the contemporary design and the council approved a first reading to rezone 5 acres to R3. A separate first reading rezoned 55000 square feet on Liberty Ave to R3 for six duplexes. The Eudora Road Triangle Elementary site was rezoned with bids due Feb 15. East Town issues included opening Jackson St as a east-west artery and adding 600 feet of sidewalk on N Highland St for student use.
