Conservation farming planned after erosion survey near Mount Dora
W. K. Price Jr. of Orlando and H. H. Parrish, new grove owner near Mount Dora, arranged a soil survey by Gale Diamond of the SCS. The survey found severe erosion on the Parrish grove with soil washing from mounded trees and gullies. A Soil and Water Conservation Plan will be created to stabilize the site and protect remaining soil. Diamond also surveyed properties for Jack King in Tavares and others in Minneola Eustis Montverde and Winter Garden.
