Jack Converse memorial service and lawn bowls update
More than forty attended the Jack Converse memorial service at Rehbaum's chapel on January 26. The service was led by Dr Stiles Bradley who offered an interpretative scripture reading and celebrated Jack's character. A round robin lawn bowling tournament with ten teams begins February with each team playing twice weekly. Charles F Furber of Saco Maine died January 21 after a five week illness. Frank E Bridgman and wife celebrate their Golden Wedding at the Villa Dora with three children visiting from the north. William S Jones returns to bowling at Lakeside Inn after a three season absence. Four teams will compete in February to determine Mount Dora interclub contenders.
