NEXT PROGRAM in Mount Dora opened in the evening with every seat filled at the Methodist church. The Rev Milner opened the program and read a letter from Dr Robert Holmes Daytona Beach director of the Florida Forums. Holmes announced a northern magazine proclaims Florida best in state education via open forums. He praised a yearlong program surpassing any University Extension course, while a talk on funny things that people noted.

House Breaker At Eason Home In Mount Dora

A thief entered the Eason residence on 8th avenue Friday between 9 and 10 am while Mrs. Eason and her young son were away. A screen was removed and a small cash bank with about two dollars robbed. tracks found under a window suggest entry through the window. Neighbors fear a repeat burglary from last winter and hope police catch the culprit.

Quiet Christmas Wedding in Mount Dora

A quiet Christmas wedding occurred at the Methodist parsonage at six o'clock Christmas evening uniting Miss Hattie J. Goss and Mr. Ivan E. Parker. The ceremony was witnessed only by the pastor's family. Parker, a Mount Dora resident and Gulf Refining Oil Co. employee, is a cornet musician. The bride is the daughter of Mr. G. W. Goss of Elberton Georgia. The couple will reside at the Butts Apartments North Donnelly Street after a short wedding trip.

A large gathering attended the joint installation of officers for Mount Dora Lodge F and A M and the Order of the Eastern Star last Monday night. Acting District Deputy S S Sadler served as installing officer followed by refreshments and social time.
