Mount Dora rezoning clash stalls townhouse plan
Mount Dora officials and residents pack a standing room crowd as the council defers a final vote on reclassifying land from single family to multi family near Hillhouse Condominiums. Protesters cite increased density and traffic while owner Richard Edgerton defends plans for 60k to 80k townhouses and argues the project fits the area. A tie vote halts action and planners are to reassess zoning prior to any final decision.
