Christmas table decor showcased by Hibiscus Circle group
The Hibiscus Circle of the Lakes and Hills Garden club hosted a Christmas table decorating display at the Community building with demonstrations by Mrs R P Ashbaugh assisted by Mrs W P Keith. Other guests included Mr and Mrs R L Beach of Schenectady and Mr and Mrs R W Jessup of Fairport. The meeting featured winners in card games and plans for a Monday Social club banquet. Local residents and visitors arrived for the season in Mount Dora while others toured area homes and archery ranges.

Dorothy Conley of Sorrento married last week at the Sorrento Baptist church with Wilson Shankle at the ceremony. Nuptial music by Mrs. Harold Larsen accompanied the service. The bride wore a light blue suit and a red rose corsage. Matron of honor was Mrs. J E Knox, with Mr. Knox as best man. A reception followed at Mrs. Knox's home featuring the traditional bride's cake.

A panel of out-of-town judges crowned Sally's Dress Shop as the best dressed store for Christmas in Mount Dora. Twin births in Florida as of Wednesday
