Lake County Wins Big At Jacksonville Fair In Home Demonstration
Lake County took first prize for the county exhibit of canned products in the Home Demonstration booth at the Jacksonville Fair. Mrs J H Short of Eustis won first on Tomato Special, Mrs M M Steffens of Cassia Club took third on figs, and Mrs D L Kraemer of Eustis won second on a Blackberry Special. Cassia and Seneca Club earned second on a Grape Special, while Miss Mary Keown selected the Lake County exhibit for a gift and purchase. The clubs are preparing a Christmas box for storm sufferers with layettes and adult garments from the women’s work.
