Mass Crash Ends Fatal Police Chase In Mount Plymouth
A 1958 red and white car driven by a 19 year old sped over 100 mph to flee a police pursuit. It crashed head on with James S. Bryant as he drove a truck near Deoi ocets, killing Bryant and injuring no one else. Officer Varner risked his life pursuing the youth. his cruiser rolled but he was unharmed.

Death ends youth chase in Mount Dora crash
In Mount Dora last Friday a stolen car chase ended in a head on collision on the DeLand road near Sorrento. A 19 year old from Eustis and James S Bryant 41 of Mount Plymouth were killed when the stolen Ford traveled over 100 mph and burst into flames. Bryant leaves a wife and two sons.
