Owen Conner House Tied To Early Tangerine Days
The house known as the Owen Conner or Nolte house sits on Wood Ave in Tangerine. Built in 1889 by Mrs. Fudge and Fred Hull, it links to Florida nursery history linked with Owen Conner who expanded plantings toward Wright Ave and Lake Jem Road. The property later passed to the Nolte family, with Mrs. Walberg tending the flowers and the grove still noted for oranges and grapefruit.

J T Bud Huett Mount Dora Police Chief says the examiner will work at the Tavares Court House 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays Tuesdays and Fridays serving Mount Dora Tavares Um atilla and Eustis applicants. Cler mont and Leesburg drivers handled on the other days. This marks the first exclusive county examiner. Mayor Bliss reports Municipal Court processed four cases with $35 in fines.

Mrs. Pearl Camp Dies Here After Lengthy Illness
Mrs. Pearl Lofton Camp, 89, died at her Mount Dora home last Friday after a lengthy illness. She was active in the community and a former Past Matron of the Mount Dora O.B.S. chapter. She is survived by her twin daughters Doris Camp and Twila Camp Dismukes, a sister in Los Angeles, and several nephews. Services were held Monday at Rehbaum Funeral Home with Rev. David Coffield. burial followed at Pine Forest Cemetery.
