Winter Park Federal pays installment toward Mount Dora meeting room
Winter Park Federal Savings and Loan Association paid a 3000 dollar annual installment toward the 12000 dollar pledge to renovate the baggage room at the Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce offices in the former Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Station. G R M Boby Pearson presented the check to CofC President Rex Flohr with witnesses from First National Bank of Mount Dora and Bank of Mount Dora. Banks lent 4500 dollars each to fund the project, with this payment marking the second of three annual reimbursements.

Mount Dora Police Probe Three Burglary Cases
Mount Dora police investigated three burglaries and larcenies last week. A trio of juvenile males allegedly staged a paint store petit larceny in the Golden Triangle Shopping Center while two others absconded with a cash box. A second incident involved a wallet theft worth about 437 dollars from Dorothy Marker. In the third case two Mount Dora men Avery Johnson and Terry Clayton were charged with burglary and grand larceny after a residence break at 1630 North Johns Street.
