Christian Home and Bible School to Build $250000 Institution
Rev N O Norton acting pastor of the Church of Christ on Fifth Avenue outlines early construction plans for the Christian Home and Bible School a $250000 project on 60 acres north of Eleventh and west of Donnelly Avenue. Five concrete block buildings will include a library auditorium dormitories an elementary and high school with christian education and later agriculture. 150 signups for courses begin September 11 with nine faculty members planned led by Norton and Aldin Norton. Board chair J W Collier and trustees from Wildwood Ocoee Ocklawaha Lacanto Mount Dora join the project set to seek accreditation by fall 1946. Classes will use the Church of Christ building until facilities are ready.
