The Court House session in Tavares approved the official budget for 1927 28. Two bonds for carrying fire runs to F R Pitt and a notary public bond for A P Gibson were approved. The sheriff is empowered to weigh heavy loads on local roads and enforce penalties. Bids were opened for about 337 000 square yards of road paving in Special Road and Bridge District 14 with bidders including McDonald Construction Lakeland Connelly Paving Tampa Standard Asphalt Manly Leesburg E K Martin Sorrento and Hutton Sanford. The contract was awarded at the August 13 meeting.
