City Extends Paving Plan Add Six More Miles
At a city council meeting last Monday the decision to add about six miles of new hard surfaced streets was approved, bringing the total to roughly 17 miles in the program. The project will cost about 136000 dollars and aims to improve streets described in an advertisement in this issue. Mount Dora is expected to become among the finest paved cities in the state once completed.

Colonel Sanborn Entertains Family in Florida Visit
Col. Sanborn and Mrs. Sanborn hosted their daughter Mrs. Chesley of Lynn Massachusetts and grandchildren Harrison Chesley and Muriel Sanborn in Sanford Florida. Booster Club Meeting Debates Telephone System for Golden Triangle
The Boosters Club at the Biltavern hotel discussed substituting a battery telephone system in Eustis Tavares and Mount Dora. Florida Telephone Co officials Otto Wettstein Jr and G F Kirkman attended. Councilman L R Heim urged the change for Eustis with a franchise and higher rates. Mount Dora and Tavares require 400 subscribers to avoid losses, and a three member committee was named to work with the company on service complaints.

Newlyweds serenaded in laudatory manner on East Fifth
Slumber on East Fifth Avenue was interrupted by about thirty five friends of Bud Burchett and Clara Hall newly married couple. They gathered silently near the house then bells horns and firecrackers erupted.
