J E Bluefield of Tampa led the Lake Region Anglers league with a 12 lb 2 oz bass at Lake Griffin from Eagles Nest camp on July 24. Nearby catches included a 9 3/4 lb and 8 3/4 lb bass by S W Winn of Lakeland within 10 minutes on July 27. Lake County camps totaled 90 bass weighing 220 3/4 lb from Eagles Nest and 17 bass weighing 34 1/2 lb from Rogers camp, with anglers from Lakeland Leesburg Tampa West Palm Beach and Lady Lake and visitors from Tuscaloosa Ala. The event is directed by Cc L Starnes of Wildwood.
