Labor Racket and Union Reform Debate Continues
The piece contrasts the McClellan committee findings with proposed bills on union discipline and reporting. It argues the committee bill grants unions a de facto license to steal, exempts most unions from financial reporting, and leaves workers to racketeers. The substitute would require full reports, remove local case limits, ban blackmail picketing, and shutter secondary boycott loopholes to protect workers and third parties.
