Lake County Tax Collector reports 1975 disbursements
Lake County saved over 450000 in discounts by early tax payments. Tax Collector T Keith Hall presented the 1975 Lake County tax roll before the Board of County Commissioners showing actual collections of 14235932.21 including 192365.91 from 796 parcels via the tax certificate sale and levies across 32 funds, a multi county water district and 14 municipalities.

Ed Havill Republican candidate for Lake County Property Appraiser urged repeal of intangible tax at a Mount Dora reception. He argued Florida taxes retirees on income and savings and stressed the importance of the Property Appraiser’s office in setting property values and tax bills.
