Mount Dora Summer Recreation Still Buzzes With Swim Lessons
Summer program winds down with swimming the standout activity led by Instructor Jim Jackson and assistants Pam Brown and Fred Sanwald. About 127 children learned to swim while nearly 100 progressed through levels. Six advanced swimmers qualified for state meet in Daytona Beach August 9 to 11 and will compete again August 18 in Davenport. The plan includes forming a community swimming club with parent sponsors.
