Evangelistic Meetings By The Baptist Church
The First Baptist Church of this community will begin Evangelistic meetings on Wednesday May 5 at the Congregational Church. Rev J L Jenkins of Umatilla will preach and has long service in Baptists missions. Rev Lloyd L King of the Reese Evangelistic Staff will lead the music and is renowned in Florida. The invitation extends to Mount Dora churches and the public.

Winter Garden Falls to Winter Park in Lake Orange League opener
Winter Garden was defeated 8 to 5 by Winter Park in the Lake Orange League opener. The league slate continues Thursday with Mount Dora at Winter Garden and Winter Park visiting Apopka. a large local crowd will travel to support the home team.

O. E. S. Meeting Draws Large Mount Dora Attendance
Mount Dora Chapter 103 O. E. S. held a regular meeting with a large attendance of members and visitors. Past Worthys were honored. Sister Annie Moorhead was unable to attend. The chapter, instituted April 11, 1918 with 27 charter members, now has about 100 members. A flowers and refreshments presentation followed. The event included initiation of a waiting candidate led by Mabel Young and David S. Simpson. Additionally, a court notice in Lake County Chancery involves multiple defendants and is published for five weeks in Mount Dora Topic.
