Mount Dora seeks HUD grant for urban beautification

The City of Mount Dora filed an Urban Beautification grant application with the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. A council resolution seeks about $10,000 to fund the initial project focusing on Gilbert Park paving and landscaping as part of a long term plan including plantings at entrances parks and civic structures. Golden Gem Growers acquires Silver Springs Dispenser Program from Ae Dispenser Company of Orlando. Golden Gem will run the dispenser operation immediately and plans to expand the program to new markets under the Golden Gem name.
