Casey Finds New Life in Mount Dora After War
After serving in the Philippine campaign and witnessing the atomic bomb’s impact near Nagasaki, Casey leaves the army and seeks peace. He settles in Mount Dora with Jean and daughter Diane, joining Bob Bardwell’s circle and launching Jones Bros. Feed Store with his brother Dale, becoming a community leader through the Lions Club, American Legion, Chamber of Commerce, Masons, and church. Diane starts first grade next fall.
