Unusual Floral Paintings Inspire Mount Dora Garden Plan
Lakes and Hills Garden club held its annual meeting at the Community building as a $500 Founders Circle bond was pledged toward a Mount Dora garden center. Mrs Emma Sears Marsh donated her wildflower paintings to the club with rights to display, while the Metro politan Museum of Art and Morse Galleries requested the works. New officers were elected led by Mrs A Slater Cox. The club honored Mrs Henry W Land for the “Don’t Be a Litterbug” project. The plan includes rotating seasonal displays at the Public Library, schools or Community building and combining efforts with the Park Board for beautification.
