Wabash Valley College to Stage Mama Won't Fly
Wabash Valley College opens a straight play this fall with the comedy Mama Won't Fly about three generations on a cross country trip. Assistant stage manager James Thread notes community spirit and stress relief, as Luke Bunting runs sound for the production. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday October 25 and 26 with a 1:30 p.m. Sunday matinee October 28 in the Brubeck Arts Center Theatre.

Bond set at 7 million for man in triple murder
Sydney T. Mays Jr., 25, appeared in Bloomington court on Friday facing first degree murder and attempted murder charges for the June 18 shootings at a central Illinois apartment complex that left three men dead and a 4-year-old boy injured. Authorities arrested him in Milwaukee after a July drug bust. All four victims were Bloomington residents. Arraignment is scheduled for November 2.

City Council weighs leaf collection options
