IEMA coordinates an 18 county search in Illinois and Indiana after Wayne County Well Surveys, Inc. reports a missing radioactive well logging source holder. The silver 75 pound steel container, labeled DOT RADIOACTIVE YELLOW IT, is believed last in a company vehicle and guarded by law enforcement and state agencies.

Wabash County Extends Liability Coverage to Ten Million
At a bi monthly meeting Wabash County Commissioners approved increasing liability coverage from five to ten million for legal fees and record replacement with Snedecker Risk Management. The extra policy costs 1582 and follows similar moves by other counties. Also discussed were FEMA grant prospects for new equipment and a surplus Bronco. County tax receipts for the first installment totaled 4.159 million with a 1.5 percent late penalty. A small amount of radioactive material reportedly disappeared from a transport vehicle south of Mount Carmel and 911 should be contacted if found. Commissioner Rob Dean thanked Roy Hipsher for mowing Lake Froman with his own equipment.
