Warriors stun SWIC in GRAC thriller
In Mount Carmel, Wabash Valley College Warriors edged SWIC 79 78 on a late JaJuan Starks jumper after a defensive switch. Bench spark led WWC with Shadrick Kimble 18 points and Starks 15 6 1, as WWC overcame early adversity and poor three point shooting to win in a grind it out GRAC contest.

Junior Aces sweep Fort Branch in Mount Carmel league night
Mount Carmel Middle School hosted Fort Branch for seventh and eighth grade games. Seventh graders won 46 to 6 behind balanced scoring led by Beau Stipp and Kaleb Applebey with 8 points each. Eighth graders triumphed 33 to 21 as Trevor Peterson paced the Aces with 9 points and Elliot Laws added 7.

Mount Carmel Middle School girls basketball teams dominated Fairfield in two games. Seventh graders crushed the Lady Mules 23 to 5, while eighth graders fought back from a 16 to 5 halftime deficit to win 29 to 25. Allie McPherson led with 12 points, Haley Wright added five, and Rylie Webb and McKenna Golden chipped in four each. The home team improved with a strong third period lockdown and a close final frame to seal the victory.
