William Krup and Madonna McGrew pled to the lesser charge of battery for a January 24 2015 incident in Mount Carmel. Both had faced felony sexual assault and battery originally. They receive 24 months probation and no contact with the victim, plus a suspended jail stay and required alcohol and drug assessments. The March 21 jury trial was cancelled. Potential jurors need not appear but may contact the circuit clerk with questions.
An afternoon accident on College Drive in Mount Carmel involved a 2006 Toyota driven north by William E. Beckerman and a 2015 Jeep driven by Dustin E. Adams. Beckerman’s car struck Adams and continued into an embankment, front end damaged and towed. Adams left with a bent tire. No injuries or citations were reported.
