County ranks 6th in CCL holders in Wabash County
Wabash County ranks sixth in per capita Concealed Carry License ownership with 426 CCLs issued and a rate of 36.9 per 1,000 residents. As of June 1, 205,238 applications had been received, 181,489 CCLs issued to Illinois residents and 27 to out of state residents. Deputy Etzkorn noted crime drops of about 20 to 26 percent since the law. He urged shall issue and explained key CCL requirements including age, FOID, training, and absence of disqualifying factors.

Mount Carmel School Roof Repairs Move Ahead
Mount Carmel Middle School principal Steve Holt says storm damage repairs are underway with roof work and gymnasium repairs to follow. Roof panels are being fabricated on site and will be installed before gym work begins, but registration will proceed and school will start on time.
