Funding dispute over 911 road sign maintenance in Wabash County
County Engineer Dustin Bunting said it is unclear whether 911 road sign upkeep should be funded by the county or by individual highway departments and road districts. The board tabled the issue pending state guidance as Linda Lowery urged public education on illegal trash burning affecting air quality and county response. Other actions included accepting an IEMA grant of 11847.43, bidding surplus items, and noting outstanding state reimbursements and jail roof repairs.
