Candlelight vigil moved up to honor local police week
Mount Carmel residents organize a Friday candlelight vigil outside the Wabash County Courthouse to recognize law enforcement amid recent Dallas and local assaults. Sandy Keneipp led planning, aiming to feed MCPD and WCSO all week with help from Rub 'em Right, Ron's Barbeque, Roosevelt's Pizza, and donors including four year old Jaylyn Smith who bought five dozen donuts. The 6 p.m. event includes candle distribution and a dusk prayer for officers nationwide.
