Chavis waives right to preliminary hearing in home invasion case
Mount Carmel Indiana man Rontray Chavis waived the preliminary hearing after court on January 19. Chavis of Princeton is charged with conspiracy in a Sept. 21, 2015 home invasion at 713 North Mulberry Street. Four victims were at the residence. two were returning home with friends when gunmen forced entry and searched them, taking three cell phones. Suspects named include Christian Griesemer, 20, Gibson County, and Bertis P. Hardiman III, 24, Princeton. Arraignment set for February 16 at 9:20 a.m.
