Debbie Meyers notes 317 children are signed for toy donations with deadlines: Dec 10 for signups, Dec 17 for dinner donations. Toys target ages 12 and up. eligibility is up to 18 or still in high school. Donations of toys can be dropped at First Christian Church or WADI. food at Heartland Worship Center or WADI. monetary gifts to WADI. Toys are distributed Dec 15 at First Christian Church and food on Dec 22 at Heartland Worship Center.

Griesemer pleads not guilty in Mount Carmel home invasion
Christian S. Griesemer 20 of Gibson County waived rights to a preliminary and arraignment hearing and pleaded not guilty to four counts of home invasion. Bertis P. Hardiman Ill, 24, of Princeton Indiana, also faces four counts. The incident occurred Sept 21, 2015 at 715 N Mulberry St. Four victims were restrained, phones taken, EMS treated one inured resident. Police from Mount Carmel and neighboring agencies investigated.
